Gemstone services

  • Six homemade candles made from wooden sticks with colored wax tips in pink, purple, and brown, on a white background.

    Lapidary

A dying art form. Most gems are cut overseas by lasers now, but if you’d local a domestic artisinal cutter for your precision gems, contact Lisa now.

  • A hand holding a small, shiny sea glass against a bright blue sky with a faint silhouette of a tree in the background.

    Identification

As a qualified gemmologist, Lisa can verify the identity of your gem.

Lisa spends a lot of time with her own family, fossicking in the North East and understands how exciting (and hard) it is to find these gems.

  • Valuation

As a registered NCJV valuer, Lisa can value your cut gemstones for you.

Lisa cannot value uncut stones, as things such as colour, clarity and make cannot be accurately determined until the gem has been faceted.

Lisa has a unique network and knowledge of gemstone markets and may be able to help you with the sale of your rough and cut gems.

She is particularly interested in buying Tasmanian gemstones (cut or uncut).

  • Three large colorless gemstones, one rectangular and two square-cut, resting on a light gray surface.
